Delarosa

What I love the most about food is that it brings people together. Without it I personally feel we would be lost. Whether it is at home on the dinner table or out and about on the streets eating from food trucks, there is a togetherness it brings to our lives.

I wanted to share with everyone one of my absolute favorite restaurants in San Francisco, not only does this place have amazing ambiance and a liveliness. It also has burrata! Who doesn't love burrata on everything?

Check out their delicious menu: http://www.delarosasf.com/

Tip: The wait can be long, my advise is to call ahead and let them know how many in your party and they will put your name now. No reservations, but if you do just stop in they will take your number and you can go down the street and grab a drink at Tipsy Pig! :)

Captivating designer: David Wiseman

David Wiseman is surly a wise man. He marks the books as the first Captivating Designer to start this section of my blog. I was blown away by his work when I was recently introduced to it at the FogFair, I had to do a piece just on his work.

Through his sculptural pieces he is able to capture fine and contemporary art. I was first drawn to his lattice table, which in person is even more breathtaking than the photos below. It was a sight to see, touch and take in. I was able to learn more about Wiseman though R & Company from New York. Flipping through Wiseman's book I realized this man was seriously wise about his art work. He is able to take art and turn it into objects, accessories, furniture, ceiling reliefs, and much more. His site specific installations are never made alike, and are so personal to each client, which provides a space none like another. His installations help to create the one of a kind pieces he has in his other collections.

Hope you enjoy this Captivating Designer as much as I do!

Maya Romanoff

Very sad to hear that one of my favorite wallpaper designers Maya Romanoff passed away earlier this week. His work is truly amazing and inspiring to the design world. The innovative wall coverings have been one of the leading manufactures in the world and it sadden's me that such a great icon has left the design world. His work and inspiration will live on, may he truly rest in peace.

Missing winter?

Californian's have been experiencing enjoyable warm temperatures this winter season with averages in the 70s and in some cities in the 80s. Now most folks won't find that a bad thing, but I am sure there are plenty of you that wouldn't mind a weekend getaway to feel the crisp cold air against your cheeks, or the snow flakes touch the palm of your hands.

I have put together some of the best Ski Resorts in the west to visit in 2014 if you are a Californian feeling a little neglect from winter!
